Show Promotional Film Planned by Ski Resort By Randy Montgomery Park City Resort Dick Barrymore Productions has been signed by Park City Resort to produce a 24-28 minute min-ute promotional film for use beginning be-ginning next fall, according to Resort Marketing Director Roger Haran. The basic purpose of the film is to entertain and to create a desire to ski Park City Resort in all those who see the film. Actual production of the film began last week and will continue con-tinue throughout the ski season by Dick Barrymore and Earl Rickers, producers of several popular ski films including "The Performers" which was partially par-tially filmed in Park City last season. The two will return this summer sum-mer to film some special sequences se-quences for the film which is scheduled to be finished by September Sep-tember 1, 1972. The film will be distributed by a national film distribution company and by the Resort to any interested groups. The film may be shown on regional and national television and may be used as part of Park City Resort's Re-sort's ski show booths. The film will be centered basically around the Resort's Director of Skiing, Stein Erik-sen, Erik-sen, and his enthusiasm for skiing ski-ing and Park City. In conjunction with the signing sign-ing of Park City Resort's ski film is the announcement of a "Hot Dog" skiing contest to be staged at Park City Resort in March or April by Barrymore in which skiers demonstrate proficiency in the skiing style of their choice before a panel of judges. Action from the contest will be included in Park City Resort's film. |
