Poly-chronis, Poly-chronis, Park City HighSchool, was among more than 150 outstanding out-standing high school seniors who spent February 4-5 at Utah State University acquainting themselves with the Logan campus, meeting faculty members mem-bers and taking competitive ex- choice. Polychronis, 588 Main St., Park City, is senior class president, a member of the football team, baseball team, high school drama club, basketball team and Student Council. He is interested in mathematics. The students from throughout the United States were competing compet-ing for five University Club Scholarships worth $5,000 each. They received invitations to the examinations because of high ratings they received on ACT and National Merit tests. Students came to Logan from as far away as Columbus, Ohio; St. Paul, Minnesota; and New York, New York. They were housed in university dormitories dormitor-ies and invited to mingle with their dormmates. They were given a brief orientation to campus Friday and then talked with college deans and department depart-ment heads in fields of their |
