Show its Organization Day on February Feb-ruary 22 with a dinner and program. and in that same year it became a member of the Utah State Federation of Women's Clubs. In 1904 the Athenaeum became an active part of the General Federation of Women's Clubs which today has members in every state of the Union. Central Cen-tral District Federation in 1924, followed by joining the Salt Lake District Federation in 1932, completed membership in all phases. Club colors of cherry and white were adopted and are still carried out today. Mary Stewart's Stew-art's famous club collect is a part of every meeting of the Athenaeum. The first president of the club was Mrs. W. W. Ferry and she served from 1897 to 1899. There followed a long succession of presidents serving serv-ing only one year apiece and today to-day the club is under the presidency pres-idency of Mrs. Pete Toly. Five of the current membership mem-bership have belonged 25 years or more. They are Mrs. William Wil-liam Horan, Mrs. Clements Hansen, Mrs. E. J. McPolin, Mrs. O. J. Wilde and Mrs. Carl Winters.
