Show Family Income in County Averages $8,262 Average family income was $8,262 in Summit County, Utah in 1969, compared with $9,320 for the State, according to a report on the 1970 census by the Bureau of the Census, UJ3. Department of Commerce. Per capita income for the county amounted to $2,441, the report shows. The 1970 census counted 5,879 residents in the county; 0.9 percent were foreign born and 8.2 percent native born with one or both parents of foreign birth. Among the county's 5,273 inhabitants in-habitants age 5 and over in 1970, 580 were living in a different county within the State in 1965, and 364 in a different state. In the population age 16 and over, 82.2 percent of the men and 37.7 percent of the women were in the labor force. Among the employed, 34.0 percent were holding white collar jobs, and 23.4 percent were government workers. About 38.6 percent of the married women with husband present were in the labor force, and 24.1 percent of these wives had children under six. There were 1,837 persons 3 to 34 years old enrolled in school. In the 25-and-older population, 65.4 percent of the men and 67.5 percent of the women were high school graduates. grad-uates.
