This day Is set apart not as a holiday but as a day lay when each Individual ual In the state of Utah will deVote all of his energy to doing something I useful something beneficial something directly helpful to the nation In winning this war Most of us will find It possible to do this In perform perform- I In our dally daily tasks a little better and a little more completely than ever before Factories mills and mines mine should make mako this day a record day In turning out products that will dill help the nation win the war Farmers willI will devote their en energies to making arrangements arran for bigger and better I crops Patriotic societies and fraternal organizations will hold meetings s for patriotic purposes Public speakers Mil address these meetings and speak at all theaters and nd public entertainments Every goo good citizen will make arrangements for the tite purchase of at least one of the new Liberty loan bonds of 1918 the campaign for the sale of which opens on en that date dale Every Ever person should arrange to make at least a small donation to or take out ont a membership In the American Red Hell Cross Every patriotic citizen will nail every German lie He about our government govern govern- government ment and our troops circulated by traitorous or misguided Individuals Every patriotic citizen will assist the thO government officers in reporting draft evaders delinquents and deserters In order that every individual in the state may maybe be advised of the significance significance significance sig- sig of the occa occasion occasion lon I wish to ro call upon the loyal press of the state the churches and the schools to gl give e notice to the people of the the state of this proclamation |
