Show RECEIVES SERIOUS INJURIES WHILE AT WORK ON CUTOFF CUT OFF Is brought to the hospital in ogden condition Is critical heber wryght a well known citizen and ex sheriff of this county residing at twenty elath street was badly crushed between the cars of a gravel train and probably fatally injured athla morning at about at promontory point on the ogden lucin cutoff cut off for some months past has been employed as brakeman on a train carries gravel to the sinks along the dirt fill this train Is in charge of conductor walt lough about this morning wryght got in between two cars to make the coupling there Is more or leas conjecture as to how the accident really occurred it Is claimed that in getting hold of the chain which holds the coupling pin it broke and the brakeman was thrown between the cars in such a position as to have the lett arm crushed to a pulp and several ribs broken another report 1 that when his hold slipped he fell under the car wheels the former theory appears much more reasonable than the other judging from the nature ol 01 ho wounds As quickly as possible atter the accident the injured man waa placed on a special train and brought to ogden where he was taken to the general hospital at this writing he has not been operated upon as his condition is such that he could not survive the operation when he rallies somewhat from the shock the operation will be performed that he Is badly injured Is evident from the fact that as yet hla wounds have barely been touched at all sir wright must have been crushed with great force for the watch he carried at the time of the accident was badly bent out of shape the fiands were stopped at a m showing evidently the time the accident or a number of years heber wryght was sheriff of weber county he Is quite well known in and around ogden where the news of such an accident will be received with pained surprise being possessed of a strong constitution he may be able to withstand the shock |
