Show Ifeeling in evanston INTENSE The remains of William Lloyd, the traveling watchman of the Union Pa-clc Pa-clc railroad, who was murdered on Thursday night at Evanston, were shipped yesterday afternoon to Daven-. Daven-. port. Iowa. Mrs Lloyd, wife ot tho murdered man. accompanied the body of her husband east. Lloyd was formerly for-merly a resident of Davenport, and his mother still resides in that city. The fnne-al will be held from the mother's home. Joe Seng, the discharged employe who shot Lloyd, waived his preliminary prelimi-nary hearing yesterday afternoon anil, was bound over lo the district court to answer to the charge of murder. Seng remains reticent concerned his crime, and has refused to make any statement tending to Justify the cold-blooded murder of the traveling watchman. The feeling against Seng in Evanston Is verv bitter, but it Is thought that all danger of mob violence vio-lence is passed. |
