The light waxed warm at times, but the dry delegates mustered a large majority on the final vote. Ferdinand Krlckson of Mount Pleasant Pleas-ant was nominated for consp-ssman and C. C. Richards of Ogden for tho supremo bench. The convention rejected a plank calling for a public utilities commission commis-sion which was advocated by friends of railroad regulation. In one of the most sensational conventions con-ventions in the history' of Utah Democracy, De-mocracy, the absorbing liquor question ques-tion was handled roughly for hours, but the convention, under the direct leadership of Jesse Knliht, forced the state-wide prohibition plank into the platform over the heads and counsel of leaders who have dominated party affairs for years.
