Show MURDER OUT ON THE ROAD. Tho murderer of S. E. Turner, the Union Pacific station agent at Devil's Slide, is a crime so brutally shocking that all the power of the police force of this city and country should be tendered to the authorities of Morgan county, in co-operation with the railroad detectives, in an effort to catch the cold-blooded murderers. These lonely stations, such as the one at Devil's Slide, offer ex- j ceptional opportunity for the cut-throat to perform his cowardly work of murder and robbery. The drifting hordes of vagabonds and outlaws that pass through Ogden are a constant menace to the men in charge of night stations along the railroad. When one of these trusted agents falls a victim to these murderous thugs, the effort at pursuit 'should bc relentless and, in case of capture, punishment should be swift and condign. ( j |
