Show LETTER CARRIERS LOST THEIR CASE WASHINGTON, Dec. 2S.-By a de-! cision of the Interstate Commerce commission, handed down today, tbe National Association of Letter Carriers Car-riers lost its case against a large number of railroad lines. The mads tiled tariffs with tbe eonirul$f.lon providing for special reduced re-duced round t iip fares on the certificate certifi-cate plan in connection with the national na-tional convention of the association, held in St. Paul, Minn., In 1909, such reduced fgres being conditioned on the presentation of one thousand or more certificates. Lets than one thousand certificates were available and therefore the reduced rates for the return trip were denied. The commission upholds the railroads rail-roads for refusing the reduced fares under the circumstances. |
