Show NEW BOARD READY FOR WORK ORGANIZATION PERFECTED O. B. MADSON CHAIRMAN. Commissioners Appoint Standing Committees and Take Applications Applica-tions Under Advisement. Yesterday virtually marked the pans- ing of tho old administration o Weber We-ber county and the beginning of th3 new. The former board of. county commissioners held a session in the early part of the day and closed the business transactions of the past year. Immediately after the convening of tho old board the new board met and perfected per-fected an organization by electing Commissioner Madson chairman and Pdoptlng Roberts' Rules of Order to guido the commissioners In their deliberations. de-liberations. Tho standing committees were appointed as follows: Committee Commit-tee on infirmary, poor farm, flnanco and auditing President O. B. Mad-eon. Mad-eon. Tax matters and supplies J. T. Pybee. Court house and grounds Frank Moore. Chairman Madson was also appointed chairman of. the county board of health. The resignation of Joseph Stanford as overseer of tho poor, to take effect January 31,' was accepted, and," pursuant pursu-ant to the resignation, Chairman O. D. Madson was selected to fill tho vacancy,- at a salary of $500 a year. A resolution designating the road districts of the county was passed, which provides that district No. l shall comprlso the districts of Warren, Marriott, Slaterville and Ogden Canyon, Can-yon, to be under the direction of O. B. Madson. District No. 2 embraces Tarr West, Pleasant View, North Ogden, Randall, Liberty. Plain City and Eden, and will be under the direction direc-tion of Commissioner Frank Moore. District No. 3 comprises Uintah. Burch Creek, Riverdale. Roy, Kanesvlllo, Hooper, West Weber, Taylorsvlllo, Wilson and Garland, to bo supervlsod by Commissioner Bybee. Applications for road supervisor were received from a number of road districts and referred to the various commissioners for consideration. The deputies for appointment In the various offices of tho county were presented pre-sented by the heads of tho departments depart-ments as follows: Treasurer H. W. Naisbitt, Jr., Aaron G. Maw, Alllc Canady, together with H. C. Hausen, Jerome Brown and E. A. Stratford as special deputies. Sheriff Carl Allison, chief deputy; J. J. Murphy, P. J. Naylan, S. H. Cave and John Hut clients. Clerk J. V. Bluth, chief deputy; Harry Hales, court deputy; Frank J. Hendershot, probate deputy; Miss Go-net Go-net Bingham and Miss Edith Reld and Mrs. Elda Guerin, stenographers; Miss Ray Keck, cashier; G. V. Zinn, bookkeeper. Assessor Frank L. Chapln and John W. Gibson, deputies In chief, and Agnes R. McGuire, W. W. Wilson, T. II. Davis and Inez V. Adams, .clerks. Applications for the position of county physician were received from Doctors H. B. Forbes, G. W. Green and J. M. Elliott of Ogden and A. L. Brown of Bountiful. Upon the application of II. C. Hansen Han-sen ho wa9 ro-appolnted superintendent superinten-dent of the county Infirmary at a salary sal-ary of $100 a month. All applications for appointive portions po-rtions were taken under advisement by tho board and likely will be reported report-ed upon at the next session of tho commissioners. Tho present board Is composed of Commissioners O. B. Madson. Frank Moore and J. T. Bybee. tho latter being be-ing the new member of tho board. |
