Show DAVISON NOTjf THE ONLY ONE ; WHO APPROPRIATED THE PROPERTY PROP-ERTY OF EXPRESS COMPANY. Warrant Sworn Out for the Arrest of H the Young Man Who Quietly U Left the City. A formal warrant has been sworn mil against Neil W. Daison, charging him with the theft of a money package containing something over $2U0 from the office of the Pacific Express company com-pany in this city. While the theft of but one monej' package Is mentioned in the complaint sworn tu by a repre- i sontatlve of the expres3 company, it ' is alleged that Davison's peculations from the local office aggregate between i $000 and $700 and may run much high-1 er before officials of the express com- , pany are through checking up the former for-mer clerk. I It is believed the absconding clerk has a greater part of his stealings with him, as he spent but little money openly during the past two or three ' weeks, and a larger number of his thefts appear to have ben taken during dur-ing tho last week of his employment ' as a clerk in the local oflice of tho company. It is said, on apparently good authority, author-ity, that this is the third man cm- ployed iu the Ogden office of the Pacific j Express company who lias gone wrong j during the last four months, but the i others are alleged to have made good j their shortage and been discharged without further prosecution. j Local officials of the company are . reticent on the subject, and merely acknowledge ac-knowledge Davison's shortage and their ignorance of that young man's present whereabauts. j |
