Show DISTURBERS OF THE PEACE AND DRUNKS The police grind was of brief duration dura-tion this morning and consisted of petty cases which were quickly disposed dis-posed of. Jane Doe, colored, was arraigned on the charge of drunkenness and entered enter-ed a plea of not guilty. Witnesses not being at hand, the case was ordered carried over, the prisoner being placed under ?5 bail. J. H. Chandler, colored, was charged with disturbing the peace and pleaded not guilty, lie was ordered held under un-der $o bonds until Thursday but secured se-cured the bail later and was released. J. L. Sanders did not hesitate to admit ad-mit that he was drunk Tuesday, but slated that he was on his way nome when arrested. He admitted that he had fallen down, whereupon he was fined $j for lacking in equilibrium. George Wilson was arraigned on the charge of drunkenness and pleaded n. it guilty. Witnesses vcre not at hand and the defendant was ordered held under ?.1 bonds. v |
