Parker of New York. Mr. Parker Par-ker arrived tonight. A committee was appointed to consider con-sider and report upon the appeal in the contempt cases. The position of organized labor regarding re-garding the Sherman anti-trust act as interpreted by the federal supremo cenrt, was discussed with a view to combining the features of tho Wilson and Pearce bills Into one measure, which would, it i3 stated, place the labor la-bor movement in this country ln a similar position to the movement la Great Britain. As to a home ln this city for tho American Federation of Labor, Mr. Compers said It would have to depend upon contributions for the purpose. |
