Show RAMAN DIES SN WRECK Two Passengers Fatally Wounded and Several Others Hurt Chicago. Jan. 14. A flagman was killed, two paseengers tatally Injured Injur-ed and several persons were hurt in the Chicago & Northwestern yards here today when section No. 2 of the China and Japanese express from San Francisco crashed into the rear of section sec-tion No. 1. The train was fifteen hours late Into In-to Omaha-last -night,- and-was- sprir into two sections. Fog Is said to havo contributed to the accident. The flag-nan, flag-nan, who has not been Identified, lost his life in an unsuccessful attempt to prevent the wreck. His almost unrecognizable unrec-ognizable body was dug from beneath the wreckage. He stood on the rear platform of the first section frantically frantical-ly endeavoring to signal the engineer cf the on-coming second section. En-j En-j gineer Virge and Fireman Johnson I declared that fog shut out all view of I the track ahead until too late. Win-I Win-I dows were shattered in the first two cars of the second section and a num-! num-! ber of passengers were cut by flying glass. Among the passengers on section 2 were Dr. A. C. Van Garrott, of Ta-coma. Ta-coma. Wash.; C. C. Conkley of Gran:. Ore., and Mrs. Helen Red way of Idaho, Ida-ho, and her daughter. Helen. They escaped with a shaking up.
