Show MADAM YALE AT GRAND THURSDAY Famous Beauty Culturist Will Make Her First Appearance in Ogden Will Give High-Class Physical Culture Lecture and Entertainment Entertain-ment to Ladles of Ogden. The ladies of Ogden are to bo complimented com-plimented upon having an opportunity opportun-ity of hearlag and seeing the woman who Is called "The Modern Hebe." Madam Yale's lectures have always been confined .to large cities of the East and also to the Pacific Coast, and it Is through the efforts of W. H. j Wright Sons company that this , famous beauty culturist has consent- ' ed to stop In Ogden for one day, dur- ! ing which time she will lecture In the ' Grand Opera House to ladles only. It is said of Madam Yale that although al-though she has "attained the' 2ge of fifty-seven years; her beauty and well preserved condition of her body makes her appear not more than half that' age. She attributes this condition to j tho system of physical exercise and the treatment of which she' is author. I It is upon this system that she will I spek next Thursday afternoon, March I 4th, at the Grand Opera House. ! In speaking of the Madam, the New YorkJ AVorld has, the following article ar-ticle which appeared the day arter her appearance in that city: "The ladies of New York, or at least as many of them as could find scats in the Boadway Theater, were treated to a Tare entertainment by the manel-ously manel-ously beautiful woman, who combines tact, refinement, intellectuality and pretty feminine faculties with a raro i and radiant beauty to which good of- j feet all those who see and hear her j cannot but become worshippers at her j shrine, devotees of the art preservative preserva-tive of beauty's charms, of which she ' is the originator, the prophetess, the j high priestess. This marvelous worn-, an Is Madam Yale, who, confessing to maturity to w hich no one could sua-; pect when wrapped In admiration of here perfect form and beautiful face ' and the sprightly buoyancy of her , movements proclaims that If sho has not discovered the fountain of perpetual perpet-ual youth, she has by hard study and long and careful experiments worked out a system by which the beauty of youth, so soon faded from the damask cheek of American womanhood,' may be coaxed to stay and abide with her who lives the true beauty of life and violates none of the canons of the Yale Cult." The foregoing is but a part of a lengthy article which "The World" printed of Madam Yale. Madam Yale declaros it a "Sin to be Ugly" and gives sensible reasons for her declaration. She teaches not only-beauty only-beauty of face but her system of Physical Culture Is intended to beautify beau-tify the entire body. The lecture consists of four parts. In each part tho Madam appears in a different costume, each of which is Intended In-tended to display the well-preserved condition of her body. Tickets for the lecture are free and are now being distributed at the Toilet Toi-let Goods Department at Wright's store. Saturday the demand for tickets tick-ets was very large and it Is expected that tomorrow and Wednesday the demand de-mand will be greatly Increased. While on the coast this trip. .Madam Yale appeared in San Francisco in one of the finest theaters where tho admission charged was 50c and $1, but owing to the fact that Wright's have agreed to become ape in Ogden for Madam Yale's Toilet Preparations, she has consented to give the lecture hero free of charge. She will have the , full Opera House Orchestra In attendance attend-ance and the ladles who attend will j no doubt be well entertained. - I : I |
