Show PAUL S. WILKINSON HELD IN CITY PRISON W. E. Schrantz Thought to Be Dying In Hospital. Salt Lake, Feb. 28. A single Mow, struck In resentment, a young man lying ly-ing on a hospital cot near death, another an-other with leaden steps pacing tao narrow passage of a Jail cell, haantei with the fear that he may bo a murderer mur-derer these are the main incidents of an occurrence yosterday following tho use of a rile epithet. Yesterday afternoon W. E. Schrantx, aged 23 years, and Paul S. Wllklu-. Wllklu-. son, but a few years older, becamo involved in an altercation at tho Railroad Rail-road Exchange bar on West South Temple street Schrante's taunt led Wllkkreon to strike a blow with the bare fist that landod oo the nose and cheek bone of Schrantz. Thl6 happened hap-pened about 1:30 o'clock in the afternoon, after-noon, and at 3 o'clock this momlu; Schrantz's life was despaired. The blow struck fractured the nos In two places, causing hemorrhaged that the physicians found impossible to stop. |
