Carrying Carry-ing its engineer and fireman with it, tnc locomotive of a west bound Canadian Can-adian Pacific freight fain ran Into a snowsllde at Three Valley lake, -V) miles east of Vancouver, at full speed at 3 o'clock this morning and plunged down the embankment and into the l?ke. Ttoth men were penned in the cab of tho engine and were drowned; It Is rumored here that only the locomotive went Into the lake, which is said 'to be about thirty feet deep at this point, rapidly shelving to a greater depth a short distance from tore. It is said that Coughlln was the engineer's name, but the Identity of the fireman can not bo learned. Jlli men were residents of Kevclstokt. |
