H ootten and Phillips had gone to the company's office) to make an Investigation In-vestigation and were engaged In taking tak-ing finder prints when a call from po : lice headquarters over the telephone ; told them that a juvenile was attempting attempt-ing to cash a payroll check on the Ashton company at the store of Max 01 lash, 210 Twenty-fifth street.
