Show UTAH SCIENTISTS TH TVTTCF.T AT T. Oft AN LOGAN. Oct. 26. For the first time In Its history. Ixgan is to be the scene of the convention of the Utah Academy Acad-emy of Sciences. The Utah Academy of Sciences was first organlzej n is0(j for the purpose pur-pose of promoting Investigation and diffusing knowledge in the various departments de-partments of science. It Includes men of the state who are working in all branches of science, both educational and professional. At present the membership Is about 200. Professor William Peterson, director of the Utah Agricultural experiment station, Is vice president of tho society and is taking charge of all arrangements for 'the meetings, the first of which will be held In the engineering building of the Utah Agricultural college, Friday evening at 7:30 o'clock. The second 'session will begin Saturday morning nt 9:00 o'clock and will last until .about 12 o'clock, at which time the I members will adjourn to the college cafeterla for lunch. An excursion to 'Logan canyon Is planned for Saturda afternoon The public is Invited to attend all i regular meetings of the society. Scientific Sci-entific papers will bo given which are ! tho results of tho latest research and adanced study of the leading sclr n-i tlflc men of Utah.
