Members of the Weber club ;nd Chamber of Commerce made a nip to Salt Lake on Thursday and were guests of the Commercial club ol the capital, In a get-together meeting At intervals in the past the business interests of tho two cities have la bored to establish closer bonds of triendship and have declared tor cooperation co-operation While the results have been somewhat disappoint ing. there has been progress in the direction of better understanding. Ogden and Salt Lake should be united unit-ed In the upbuilding of the state and .should support euch other, it is quite evident, in a period of deprrsion that Salt Lake's adversity is Ogden's a there is a constant flow of people bal anclng the Inequalities of good or bad times which may exii In either I city. One of our common weaknesses has I ' been failure to back each" other in all enterprises. Each ctiy has gained some advantage by backcjpplng. but both have lost because of the failure j io apply a uniform rule of co-opera- lion, j Ogden and Salt Lake arc closely tied by two steam railroads, an electric elec-tric line and a paved highway Their interests are too nearly identical to allow petty tactics to operate to the Injury of either one. |
