The swagger set are filling their trunks with suit- able apparel and making off to St. Moritz for the Winter sports or flying .southward to warmer climes. For the delightful sunny skies of the southland I have fashioned the clothes I am showing this week. The under brim of the light hat is designed of soft silk crepe brocade, stretched snugly over it's rolling surface. The crown and upper brim are covered with layers of fine lustrous straw. At a perky angle, a sheaf of fine feathers slants downward from the brim. 1 The promenade Xrock, with its background of vivid green, is a combination of silk and net. The bodice is of taffeta. Transparent net forms the 6leeves and skirt, over which an apron tunic of exquisite color combination forms the trimming. The hat worn with this frock is fashioned, too, of sheer material, ma-terial, filmy chiffon clinging snugly to its foundation, and boasting boast-ing a contrasting organdie for upper brim and bow. Evening calls for its dansant. And the dansant, in turn, calls for its appropriate frock. Any ballroom or fashionable casino ought to be flattered by this evening creation of soft chiffon and fur. Alternate two squares of picoted chiffon and you will attain the uneven hem line that gives this gown its chief charm. Cut a simple bodice and fold it back to reveal a lining of jewel trimming and add a fluff of fur to each sleeve and you have the secret of this fascinating bit of finery for evening wear. 4 I 1 A fl I fl H |
