OCR Text	Show FATHER HACKS AGED FIEND TO DEATH WITH HATCHET NEW YORK, June 21 Thom-as Thom-as Mcighen, 62, was hacked to death with a hatchet by Sa-batino Sa-batino Svordonano in the basement of his Brooklyn home today, when, the slayer alleges he found the intruder in the act of attacking his 7-year-old daughter, Lillian. Meighen put up a terrific battle but he was no match for his younger assailant. His body was badly mutilated. "My little girl had been attacked at-tacked by a man before today," to-day," Svordonano told the police po-lice to whom he surrendered. "I have been waiting for two weeks to find this man and I saw red and killed him when I saw him this morning with my girl." ft g
