"Angel Faco" starts off with snap ajid interest as soon as the curtain goes up and It Is good all thc way through to the final curtain Then it is good some more for the orchestra cnds you away with revived memories mem-ories of the melodious tunes of the play. Plump John E Young speaks a few words at the opening o the first aot and he. does it In such an enthusiastic and all together realistic manner that you Just know you are going to bo entertained. And then the other characters como on and scintillate and they continue to sparkle through the .hree acts. There was Arthur Van Slyck, as the eccentric scientist; the elongated Joe Mack as tho correspondence school detective, de-tective, whose legs made many laugh, .irah McVlcker, as grandma. who made about the best grandmother seen in cars; Neil Moore, tho bugo- ,loglst. Bertha Belmore. who was he "high brow" and forbidding daughter; 'Nora Kelly, who was the striking bru-nct. bru-nct. Tessie, and whose soncs wore big hits. And there were othcin Including William Cameron M Irving, the serv-, jant; John Relnhard, as Arthur Grlf- fin, the sculptor and thc three young men with good voices and fine stage, appearances who were the friends of I Lark 111 and Griffin. Ono of he very bright lights of the .show was Marguerite Zander, who, ! made a delightful Betty and who sang, j sweetly and charmed all with her, vivacity and beauty- And for the dark light of the produc-j itlon fchero was Joe McCray, a tiny African who waa especially good in I the role of "the little mummy who' shook his little tummy." There Is an Interesting and laugh-1 able plot to the play and the mu.ilc: is decidedly melodious and delightful.; I There Is an abundance of good danc-' Jug. the girls are sweet and graceful, and they wear pretty gowns.
