Show CARD CASE THROWN OUT IN CITY COURT The case of H. C. Williams. II $. Johnstone and A. J Carr. arrested on the charge of playing cards behind closed doors, was dismissed in the city court today on motion of Assistant City Attorney Samuel Powell on the ground of Insufficient evidence. An Investigation showed, he said, that the arresting officers had failed to try the door generally used to enter the card playing room of the club where the arrest ar-rest had been made, and had attempted attempt-ed to enter by a doorway P ading into another room. |
