Remer, of this city, won the one-mile one-mile walk In 6 minutes and 29 sec-londs. sec-londs. He finished just a few inches iihead of J. U. Pearman, N. Y A. C who held the title and former iccord I of 6 .39 4-5. Refiner's time was just ; ne second behind the American record i held by G. H. doubling of Canada.
