Show f census office HERECLOSES I Retiring Director Expresses I Appreciation of Support I ' Given by Ogden The census office for District 2 of J tah, comprising 21 counties in north rn and eastern Utah, which was pened the first of the year in the Jgden federal building, was closed today. George Romney, Jr., district director, and his daughter, Miss Marguerite Mar-guerite Romney, who has assisted in compiling statistics, leavo today for their home In Smithfield. y; But one district, that of Bridgeport I j, in Daggett county, remains to be com-pleted. com-pleted. The enumerator there has not been heard from in two weeks and is believed to have been caught In a recent re-cent blizzard near ,1110 Colorado line. Because of the wea'ther and, bad roads, travel is almost impossible at present. Director Romney will finish up and send tho last papers from his homo town to Washington, D. C. On behalf of Director Rogers of the census bureau and for himself, Mr. Romney expressed his appreciation for tho kindness shown and assistance rendered and of the apparent desire of all to have a fair and honest count.
