Show Rio Grande Reports Handed Commission Two reports from the Deiner Rio Grande railroad, for the year ending December 31, 1919, were filed with tho public utilities commission yesterday, cno by A. R. Baldwin, receiver of tho road, and the other by the United Slates railroad administration. Mr. Baldwin's roport showed that the total investment in the road at the close of tho year was $190,921,754, a decrease of $39,956,501 during the year and that the current assets at the close of tho year, 1919, aggregated $26-1,613,380, a decrease of S36.488.917. Tho profit and loss shoot showed a debit balance of $26,186,915, a decrease of S37.737.684. The report of tho United States railroad rail-road administration showed a balance December 31, 1919. of $28,219,523, an Increase of $5,863,579. Tho profit and loss sheet showed a credit balance of S, 11,164,260, an increaso of $5,596,733. Operating income was $5,973,660 an increase of $1,115,143, gross income was $6,490,094, an increase of $539,587. and net Income $5,571,667 an increasp of $4809. Operating revenue for the year was $32,259,527. an Increase of $1,467,492, while the total operating expense was $25,656,971. The total tons of freight carried wore 11,722;298 The average number of employes was 11,866, hours worked .27,990,865, -total- .compensation paid $18,456,146, The total operating expense in Utah was ?8,8812S6 nnd tho t total tons of freight carried in the state 6.833,248. The mileage in Utah is 695.20. the main line being 298.20, branches 386.12 tho remainder being spurs and sidings. Tho total mileage of tho system of 3.750.45. |
