Show Party Marooned on Island in Flood ' NORFOLK, Neb., May 1. Thirty persons marooned on an island south ' of Norfolk as a result of flood conditions condi-tions caused by the swollen Elkhorn river, were securing relief today throuyh a ferry boat service inaubur-ated inaubur-ated by the city. The Island was formed when the river cut a new channel in tho southern south-ern part-of the city. Flood conditions caused by the river in other sections ' of northern and western Nebraska, however, are improving though considerable con-siderable damage has been done to valuable farm lands. nn |
