Twenty events will congtituto the card in the western trials for the American Olympic team which will be held at Pasadena Juuc,.2G. Included I in theso events will be a special four man one mile relay race. Tho events will Include the follow-;ing: follow-;ing: 100, 220 and 110 yard dashes. ,880 yard run, one tuilo run, 120 high hurdles, 140 ynrds hurdles. 300 meters Jwalk. 5000 meters run. 10.000 meters I run. polo vault, high Jump, running broad jump, running hop. step and jump, throwing 56 pound weight, throwing 16 pound hammer, putting 16 pound shot, throwing the discus throwing the Javelin and one mile relay. re-lay. Points will count five for first, three for second, two. for third and one for fourth. From all indications the western trials will be a great success. Athletes I from all parts of the west will be entered en-tered in the competition and the congests con-gests should all be hard fought. I Whether or not tlu western trials 'will hae an all around championship I is yet to be determined. However, 1 Robert Weaver of the Olympic 'com-'roittec 'com-'roittec says that one will be held. First place winners will receive gold I medals, second place silver and third I place bronze. In the mile relay first j place teams will receive four gold j medals, one for each runner.
