Show MEETS MOTHER AFTER LONG SEPARATION MISSOULA, Mont, May 10. On a recent trip of the glee club of the University Uni-versity of Montana to Kalispell, Professor Pro-fessor DeLoss Smith, dean of the university uni-versity school of music, was reunited with his mother, whom he could not remember ever having seen. During the afternoon before the concert con-cert at Kalispell, Professor Smith was b walking on the streets when a man S handed him a note reading: I "Mr. DeLoss Smith.: If you would ! care to see your mother, please call at i I We will be glad to see you. 1 I Lovingly, Mother. (Mrs. J. J. Severns). 1 The man who had delivered the note ' Ihen introduced himself as the music teacher's stepfather. Professor Smith's parents lived in Illinois at tho time of their son's birth. Two years after the I boy was born, Mrs. Smith separated from her husband and -left for the west. When the boy was ten years old, his father died and ho was cared for by his father's parents. Somo years ago he came to the state university here, where he has since been dean of the school of music. oo |
