Show USEFUL CORSET.' A writer, speaker and a recognized authority on retail store advertising, claims that women do not Invest enough In corsets, for the reason that they do not appreciate tholr Imnortance or value cs an aid f, good dressing. While the statements made aro to some extent exaggerated, they are In a measure mea-sure correct, and as a few points on this subject might awaken women to looking more closely to their corset needs we quote from a lecture given recently by this advertising expert: "One pair of corpcts is tho proportion to each woman every year and a hajf. despite the fact that they arc no earthly good after three or four months. "Some women buv corsets three or four times a year. Goodness knows, some of them must buv them about once every six or eight years. Women simply think of corsets as something strong and hence think they should last a lone time, and they do not bother to buy them as frequently fre-quently as they should," He added that after three or four months the garment loses Its shape and consequently the woman loses hers to all appearances. Regardloss of what new and fine clothes she may wear they will be worn to a disadvantage If tho corset has passed Its day of usefulness. |
