TOMATOES FILLED WITH EGGS. 4 large tomatoes 4 eggs J Eight teaspoons cream Butter. Salt and pepper. Dip tomatoes in boiling water and remove skins. Cut a slice off tin top of each tomato. Remove seeds. Break an egg In each tomato, fill wllh cream. Cover with the slice. Put tomatoes in buttered ramekins and bake ten or fifteen minutes In a hot oven. Remove Re-move tops, season with salt and pepper pep-per and a dot of butter. Serve at once. APPLE CHARLOTTE. 3 cups sliced apples cup sugar 1 tablespoon bulh r 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Flderberry or currant Jelly Thin slices of bread. Tare and core apples. Cook over a quick fire with sugar, butter and cinnamon cin-namon until tender. Remove crust from brad. Spread very sparing on both sides with butter. Line the bottom bot-tom and sides of a small, shallow, oblong ob-long bread pan with the buttered bread. Put in alternate layers of the apple mixture and Jelly. Cover with buttered bread and bake in a hot oen until brown, 'lirn out on a platter and slice to serve.
