Show Negro Woman Given Suspended Sentence Florlne Mills, colored, charged Tiiih disturbing the peace of Mrs Dolly Jones, was found guilty and given a five days suspended sentence whi n the case was heard before Judge D K. ' Roberts in the city court yesterday morning The trial was a sequel to the J Clarence Jones case, held last week, in which Jones wa.s alleged to have' stobn some property from the woman's wom-an's auxiliary of a negro lodge. Mrs. Jones testified that Florlne Mills hud come to her house and had uttered vile language towards herself and husband. Judge Roberts decided that the mat-1 ter was brought about by a woman's quarrel and did not punish the defendant defend-ant beyond imposing a five day suspended sus-pended sentence. |
