Show Indoor Track Meet Is "Attracting Statewide Interest of Athletes' The gala indoor track and field meet, scheduled for Salt Lake City the night j of February 21 is attracting state-wide attention and one of the largest entry ( lists In the history of Indoor athlct-' les Is expected. Such stars as Clinton ( Larson, Alma Richards. Creed Hay- mond, Bob Martin, Ted Johnson, Mel Freebalrn, Bunk Brown, Jacques, Kerr and others have already entered the games. Teams from the University of Utah. U. A. C, B. Y. U., and other schools and clubs of the state will enter men. The ono mile race will no doubt be one of the features of the evening with Martin, Brown. Jacques, Warden, Kerr, Johnson, Freebalrn, Wilson and Tol-man Tol-man entered. The college relay team composed of Bob Martin, University of Illinois, Creed Raymond, University of Pennsylvania, Penn-sylvania, Brownie Wilson, University of Utah and Bob Collier, Boston Tech Thls aggregation Is expected to walk laway with the honors In the relay races. Richards and Larson are expected ex-pected to show clasa galore In the aerial events. All entries for the meet must be In the hands of Nelson Nor-gren, Nor-gren, chairman of the athletic committee, commit-tee, before February 11. |
