Jan 2C Willie Lewis, j former middleweight pugilist, accredited accredit-ed with having brought Georges Car pentier, the French champion, to the fore, was shot three times by an unknown un-known man in cabaret here. Ho was .taken to a hospital where he is in a critical condition. Lewis was wounded in the left side, left leg and left groin. He was in a itolephone booth at the time of the shooting. Ills assailant and another man who acted a? lookout, escaped. The entertainers and others in tho place were loo dazed by the sudden, shots to take up the chaso.
