Show MORE DEATHS FROM THE INFLUENZA 81 REPORTED Johann Van der Akker, 3217 Washington Wash-ington avenue, died at his home Monday Mon-day evening of pneumonia which resulted re-sulted from an attack of Spanish Influenza. In-fluenza. Mr. Van dor Akker had been ill five days. The deceased was born in Holland, October 14, 1S3. Ho was a son of Johannes and Nellie Byzen Van der Akker. He came to Ogden 20 years ago. He had engaged in business bus-iness as a real estate and insurance mun but recently took a position at tho Southern Pacific shops. He is survived by a widow and three children, chil-dren, "John, Andrew and Evelyn; his mother, three brothers and ono sister, Ario, Leonard and John Van de Akker and Mrs. Catherine De Jonge. Syracuse Death Af tor a peek's Illness from Spanish Span-ish influenza which later developed into pneumonia Mrs. Harriet Chellote Hanson died last night at her home in Syracuse, Utah. She was fifty years old and was the daughter of William and Margaret Hope Williams. Besides her children Clyde, Elsie, Ida, Fay, Lynn, Orln and Evan Hansen, and one grandchild, all of Syracuse, the following fol-lowing brothers and sisters survive her: Mrs. Margaret Lishman of Big Horn, Idaho; Mrs. Flnetta Allen and William Williams of Hyrum, Utah, and Thomas Williams of Salem, Idaho. Funeral arrangements are in the hands of C. -A. Llndqulst and Sons and Will be announced later. Complaint is mado that persons afflicted af-flicted with Influenza aro mingling with the crowds in the center of the city. Monday afternoon a woman, whoso husband is in a hospital with influenza and who had a well developed devel-oped case of the disease, fainted on Washington avenue and was placed In a street car and sent to her home. |
