I INFLUENZA MOVES WESTWARD. Doctors state that Spanish influenza, influen-za, which has reached our shores, is nothing" more than the other int'luon-zas int'luon-zas which have come to us from E.ur-ope E.ur-ope in the past forty years. In 1SS2 the Russian influenza swept I over the United States and caused much suffering. The treatment then prescribed by ignorance was whiskey and quinine, but today physicians advise ad-vise against strong drink in any form and treat the attack as they would a severe cold. Influenza appeared back of the German Ger-man lines last winter and Impaired tho strength of the fighting forces. From there it spread to the trenches of the allicr, and lately over 16,000 cases of the disease have been reported in and around Boston.
