Show THOUSANDS OF CARS FOR NEBRASKA CORN OMAHA, Neb.. March 7. Three thousand freight cars for moving the great Nebraska corn crop have been ordered to this state, according to information in-formation given tho state council of defense and the federal reserve bank. The information was contained in a telegram sent G. W. Holdrege, general manager of the Burlingion railroad, from C. E. Spens, traffic director. The cars will be sent particularly into the eastern part of tho stato where 80,-000,000 80,-000,000 bushels of 1917 qorn is still in the hands of tho farmers and is in imminent im-minent peril of spoiling. nn |
