Show 00 MHCI1I PUNT OF GREAT IMPORTANCE Beginning on a small plan but determined deter-mined to make a success of his venture, ven-ture, Richard Leek is now at the head of a business concern that figures conspicuously in Ogden's list of manufacturing, manu-facturing, institutions. The Ashton Fire Brick & Tile company, of which Mr. Leek is manager, is perhaps more widely and favorably known in this mountain country than any other like concern in Utah and its influence in the industrial uplift of Ogdenjs very materially felt. The plant is situated on Jefferson avenue and Twenty-ninth street and is among the best equipped yards for the manufacturing of brick and tile in the west. During the past few years the business has advanced by leaps and bounds until its capacity has reached a point even beyond the expectations ex-pectations of the stockholders. The business of the company has increased so extensively that the payroll has become one of very great significance in Ogden and the plant is, working full capacity all the time. Manager Leek stales that it has always al-ways been a rule with the company to use only the very best material in manufacturing the product which it offers on the market and that means have not been spared to install machinery ma-chinery of the most modern types. He has been in the brick business a good many years and is amply qualified to make the best brick and tile in the land. oo |
