' Mr. .Barton has reported that thc beet crop of the past season wan quite good, although hindered somewhat by tho late spring. The harvest would havo been one of tho heaviest in the history of the industry, he says, if tho spring had opened up earlier. It is confidently expected that tho acreage acre-age will be considerably Increased this yean Tho late fall admitted of extensive fall plowing so tho ground has been worked into excollent shape for tho spring seed.
