Show CLUBS Congregational Ladies' Aid. A special meeting of tho Ladies' Aid of the First Congregational church -will bo held immediately following the morning service, Feb. 10. Members and friends are earnestly requested to be present. Episcopal Guild. The meeting of the Episcopal Guild i ladles -with Mrs. A. Ti. Mclntyro last Wednesday -was an exceptionally bus,y jone, eighteen of tho ladies being present pres-ent to do Red Cross sewing. All are asked to bo present at the meeting of t February 13. W. R. C. Mrs. Nannie V. Owens, department president of the W. R. C. will entertain members and friends at her home, 2214 Moffat avenue, Wednesday, February Feb-ruary 13. W. R. C. Social Club. Mrs. John Owens, assisted by Mrs: Wallin, Mrs. Porter, Mrs. Todd and Mrs. Drow entertained the W. R. C. Social So-cial club last Friday afternoon at a card party. Mrs. Reed, Mrs. Butter-field Butter-field and Mrs. Shugrue received honors hon-ors at cards. Miriam Chapter No. 14, O. E. S. The regular meeting of Miriam chapter, chap-ter, No. 1-1, O. E. S., will be held in tho Masonic temple, Tuesday evening', February 12, at 8 o'clock. Red Cross Auxiliary. The regular meeting of the Red Cross auxiliary of Miriam chapter No. 14, O. E. S will be held in tho Masonic Ma-sonic club rooms, Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Ladies' Literary' Society. Mrs. Joseph E. Wright was hostess to the Ladies' Literary club last Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon and following the business meeting the ladies had the pleasure of hearing one of Ogden's delightful dramatic readers, Miss Elva Littlefield, who gave in a thoroughly Entertaining manner, Oscar Wilde's "Lady Wandamere's Fan." Mrs. J. E. Bagley had charge of the program and she was complimented upon her selection of so splendid an entertainer as Miss Littlefield. Mrs. Wright, assisted by Miss Odette Patten and Mrs. Clarence Wright, served tempting refreshments in tho dining room which was prettily decorated in yellow with vases of California Cal-ifornia poppies. Tho club's next meeting will bo held in two weeks, the place of meeting to bo announced later. 500 Knitting Club. One of the pleasant club meetings of the week was held on Tuesday when Mrs. Joseph E. Wright entertained her 500 Knitting club. While some of the ladies played cards others knitted and enjoyed social chat until late in the afternoon 'when Mrs. Wright, assisted by her niece, Miss Odette Patten, served a delicious luncheon. The dining room was attractive with beautiful yellow poppies in vases on the table while individual nut baskets, threaded Tvith yellow ribbon, completed complet-ed tho color scheme. yIn tho parlor red carnations were nicely arranged. The members of this Interesting club are: Mesdames Mary Fitzgerald, H. C. Bigelow, M. S. Browning, Ezra C. Rich, J. II. Spargo, W. H. Wattis, Joseph E. Wright, Frank M. Driggs, Alex Walker, H. II. Spencer, E. L. Van Meter, Joseph Scowcroft, Chapin Day, Harold Day. E. O. Wattis, R. T. Hume, A. P. Hibbs, W. D. W. Zeller, Joseph Thomas, Ernest Spencer, Abo Kuhn and Fred M. Hess. The next meeting will be held in tTvo weeks. 1 Card Club. Mrs. H. C. Gwilliam was hostess to her card club last evening at her home, 230S Van Buren avenue,' Mrs. C. E. Wymer and Mr. Jack Reeve, being given tho honors at cards. A pleasant featuro was tho luncheon served by the hostess. Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Pape and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Scowcroft were guests of the club for the evening. eve-ning. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tribe of 3187 Washington avenue, will entertain at the next meeting in two weeks. Lincoln Circle of G. A, R, Lincoln Circle, No. 2, Ladies of the G. A. R., will celebrate Abraham Lincoln's Lin-coln's birthday In the I. O. O. F. hall Thursday, February 14, at 4 o'clock. An interesting and appropriate program pro-gram 'will be given and some well-known well-known and popular speakers and musicians will take part. Refreshments will be served.
