Show IMORESERIOUSCHARGE IS HOLDING EACH OFFENDER Two cases were dismissed this morning in the municipal court because be-cause the defendants have been turned turn-ed over to officers of other counties on more serious charges. The first case was that of the people peo-ple against Earl Nelson, who was arrested ar-rested here sometime ago for attempting attempt-ing to pass a worthless check on Baxter Bax-ter Brothers Grocery store. The police department released Nelson to the authorities au-thorities of Morgan county where he was charged with forgery. Word reached the Ogden police department this morning that Nelson had been sentenced from Morgan county to the penitentiary for a term of from one to twenty years. The other case was that of the people against Frank Voat, a young man claiming to be 19 years old when arrested. It is alleged he had attempted at-tempted to pass a worthless check on an Ogden merchant and was arrested, lie was turned over to the authorities at Evans-ton. Wyo., on a charge of forgery. |
