Five Latin-American governments have accepted ac-cepted in principle a formal suggestion sugges-tion from Ecuador that delegates from the republics of North, South and Cen tral America assemble immediately for the purpose of taking necessary measures meas-ures for securing a continental ex-, pression, principally for the guarantee! of the rights of neutrality and if it is possible, for the alleviation of the rlg-j ors of war. Additional acceptances are expected soon by the government of Ecuador. The I'nited States has not indicated its attitude toward the conference.
