Mr. Bonar Law's review of the Irish situation was a long and careful one. giving the go eminent point of view. "Nothing which has happened in the house of commons since I have been a member," he said, "seemed to me more deplorable than the lamentable lament-able result of our recent discussion of tho Irish question. This was de spite the fact that there exists among all parties a stronger desire than ever before to get some settlement of this vexed question." |
