The influence of continued dry weather in the domestic winter crop belt was soon more than counterbalanced counterbal-anced by selling, due largely to reports re-ports that Germany had offered favorable favor-able terms to Russia and that the German Ger-man chancellor's speech tomorrow would contain new peace suggestions. Word that the amount of wheat on ocean passage was In excess of last year's total tended also to nandicap the bulls. Opening prices, which ranged from l-8c to lc higher, with May at $1.94 3-8 to $1.95 and .July at $1.67 1-2 to $1.67 7-8, were followed by a sharp setback to well below yesterday's yester-day's flui-ii. Corn sagged with wheat Demand was only scattered and speculators pressed the selling side. After opening open-ing unchanged to 3-8c higher, the market mar-ket underwent a moderate general decline de-cline Oats took the downgrude with othr cereals. Buying orders were confined to small lots.
