ARCHITECTS and those interested in home building are invited to Jl compete for Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) in prixes offered by j! the New York Herald and this newspaper for the best plans for a j house to cost not more than Five Thousand Dollaru ($5,000). Perspective drawing in ink or wash or photographs should be accom- j , panied by floor plans drawn in ink, one-fourth inch scale. Jl The houses may be designed to be built of any suitable material, but Jl J the locality for which they are intended must be specified that allowance may be made for varying prices. Plans may b submitted at any time up to six o'clock P. M., May 25, ' . and those accepted will be published, one each week, until the end of ' the competition. ; Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) will be awarded for the set of plans j' I 8cIctd by a competent committee for the first prize and Two Hundred '' .
