Show JITNEY OFFICERS HOLD A MEETING This afternoon Vice President Henry Hen-ry Segil, Treasurer Lester Klein. Gen eral Manager Nathan Segil and Secre tary D. L. Turk of the Jitney Service company, are holding a meeting to determine whether to undertake to operate jitney buses on regular sched-uleS, sched-uleS, under tho provisions of the last city ordinances Before the time for holding the meeting Manager Segil of Salt Lake said that he could not tell what the company would decldo to do. He said, however that the cost of furnishing furnish-ing bonds and paying for the licenses on machines heavily burdened tho business and it was questionable whether the company would attempt to do more than run cars on epocial trips at minimum prices. The only cars which the company operated today on tho regular schedule sched-ule runs, was one from Twenty-fifth street to Five Points and the Twenty-fourth Twenty-fourth and Twenty-fifth streets car extending from Wall avenue to Harri son avenue oo |
