An Ordinance Creating Sidewalk DIs. trict No. 143, and Levying and As-sesslng As-sesslng a Special and Local Tax on the Property Abutting Thereon to Defray the Costs and Expenses of fM Building Concrete Sidewalks There- Bo it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Ogden, Utah: SECTION 1. That all that part of Sixteenth Street on both sides be-tv.een be-tv.een Washington avenue and Engi-;neer's Engi-;neer's station 111x87.6 "B" bo and hereby is created a sidewalk district, and named "Sidewalk District No. SECTION 2. A special and local tax is hereby levied and assessed up-on up-on the blocks, lots and parts of lots and blocks, lauds and real estate bounding, abutting and adjacent to the said Sidewalk District No. 143 for a distance of 2045.2 lineal feet. This tax is levied and assessed to defray the costs and expenses of building in said district concrete side-walks side-walks and all other things necessary to do and to fully complete said work opposite all the property hereinafter described to be especially benefited and affected by such improvements, and it Is hereby ADJUDGED DETER-MINED DETER-MINED and ESTABLISHED that the same will bo- especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied and assessed, and said 1-arcels of land are hereby assessed according to the lineal front feet abut-ting abut-ting thereon, to a depth of fifty feet back therefrom. SECTION 3. And the tax hereby levied and assessed upon said parcels of land is $2123.54, being $1.03S304 JM per lineal front foot of sidewalk five feet in width, which is the total cost of said Improvements and is levied and assessed in accordance with tho provisions of this ordinance for the purposes herein mentioned on part: of Lots 21 and 22, Block 1; Lots 7 to 12, inclusive, Block 2; Lots 1 to 6, Inclusive, Block 5; and Lots 1 to 7, In-elusive, In-elusive, Block 6, all In Riverside An-nex An-nex of Ogden City Survey; also on. part of Lot 2, Block 66, Plat "C," Ogden City Survey, to a depth of fifty; feet back from the street line. SECTION 4. Said tax shall becomo due, payable 'and delinquent in five MH (5) Installments, as follows: One-fifth thereof shall become delinquent in fifty days after the date of this tax levy, one-fifth in one year, one-fifth in two years, one-fifth in three years, and one-fifth in four years after the date of tax levy. Each and every in-stallmont in-stallmont of said tax, except the first, sball bear interest at the rate of six per cent per annum from the date of levy until the same shall become de-llnquent, de-llnquent, and after the same shall be come delinquent Interest at tho rate of eight per cent per annum shall be paid thereon. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall IH take effect upon IU passage, approval jH and publication, Adopted and passed by tho Board o Commissioners of Ogden City, Utah, August 3, 1916.
