Show Mir APPOINTMENTS MADE BY THE CITY COMMISSIONERS On the recommendation of Mayor A. R. Heywood, the city board of commissioners com-missioners this morning appointed R. T. Hulaniski city attorney to succeed Valentine Gideon; Thomas E. Browning, Brown-ing, to succeed W. I. Norton as chief of police, Walter Rlchey to succeed Mrs. Florence O. Stanford as city recorder re-corder and Miss Edna Hadf leld deputy recorder. Both Mr". Gideon and Mr, Norton tendered their resignations and they were accepted. Mr. INonon a rc&isud.-tion, rc&isud.-tion, however, does not take effect until un-til next Friday morning, when Mr. I Browning will be prepared to take up the duties of the office. The board also accepted the recommendations recom-mendations of Commissioner M. L. Jones by appointing A. T. Corey assistant assist-ant superintendent of the waterworks department, to take the place of Frank flendershot; Fred Packard as foreman fore-man in the waterworks department to suceed Dwight G. Taylor, and Arthur Wilson sexton. The personal bond of city attorney E. T. Hulaniski, in the sum of 52,000, was approved and placed on file. oo |
